Kew Area Guide

Kew has been attracting people for many years, not only for the world renowned Royal Botanical Gardens, but also for the delightful village atmosphere and riverside location.

Featherstone Leigh has a wide range of property for sale in Kew as well as a number of high quality new build flats and larger homes for rent.

Kew retains much of the charm of the eighteenth century when the Hanoverian Royal Family made the area their home. Today TW9 offers a mix of large Victorian homes in the roads opposite Kew Gardens, smaller Victorian homes, spacious flat conversions and modern apartments near Kew Green, with more modern blocks and ex-council properties towards the east.

Many of the newer apartments in Kew offer the best value for money in this highly desirable area. Owning a Kew flat is still an excellent investment.

Kew is situated in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Village Centre
The village centre has a wealth of local shops, pubs, restaurants, clubs and societies. There are also several highly regarded state and private schools in the area.

Kew Gardens, a world heritage site, consists of 300 acres of land and splendid glasshouses containing 40,000 species of plant life and 9,000 trees.

Transportation
For the commuter, Kew has its own Underground station served by the District line and its own mainline station served by Silverlink trains.

Kew is well served by buses taking passengers to Richmond, Fulham, Ealing and Kingston.

Kew is in easy reach of the M3, North and South Circular roads so is convenient by car.
