| Fulham was given to the Bishop of London in the late 7th Century where he resided in the Fulham Palace and its grounds. The Fulham Palace still stands to this day in all its splendour as a museum with the grounds split up into public allotments, elegant botanical gardens and the fantastic Riverside Park. In the 18th Century Fulham acquired the reputation as the "Las Vegas Retreat" for the wealthier of Londoners. |
